Yvonne Denz is the President and CEO of the Canadian Germany Chamber of Industry and Commerce Inc. (CGCIC) since 2020. Her career with the chamber started as early as 2008 as Department Manager for Memberships and Projects. This role allowed her to focus on customer relations, create industry reports and advise for market entry. After several years, she became Vice President, followed by the position of Senior Vice President. In these functions, Yvonne developed a comprehensive service portfolio, consulted members and clients on the Canadian economy and established a Canadian German Competence Centre for Mining and Mineral Resources. In her current role as President and CEO she coordinated the design and implementation of new strategy with the board and positioned the chamber as the voice and face of Germany Canadian trade.

Yvonne studied economics in Marburg, Fribourg (Switzerland), and Berlin. She has extensive hands-on professional experience in international markets and a strong background in foreign trade promotion. During her career in Canada, she has developed a deep understanding of the Canadian economy and of German Canadian trade relations. She reports on emerging trends and topics which are relevant to industry in both countries and advises German businesses that are currently operating, or wish to start, in Canada.

The Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce is a not-for-profit organization that has been supporting German and Canadian companies in international trade for over 50 years. As a member of the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad, CGCIC is recognized by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action, acting as the official representative of German trade and industry in Canada. It is the primary contact for Canadian and German companies wishing to do business in each other’s countries. CGCIC provides services – such as consulting, office solutions, and support in initiating business – as well as networking and education to help businesses thrive.
