EPLAN, Festo, Murrelektronik, PILZ, Bosch Rexroth, Rittal and WAGO, seven prominent companies in automation and advanced manufacturing, based in Canada with their headquarters in Germany, host the annual German Technology Day trade show and conference.
Each company will be hosting a live in-person booth to share their latest industry-leading, energy-efficient solutions, and introduce you to some of the most innovative technology in the industry at their individual booths.
Through the virtual exhibition event you will have access to the “virtual booths” which include a range of videos, literature and case studies on the various solutions.
German Technology Day offers a full-day technical session event that runs in conjunction with the exhibition.
The 7 companies will provide a brief introduction to their organizations. This will be followed with live sessions from each company with a variety of topics focused on this years theme: The Future of Factory Automation: Safe, Secure & Connected.
To kick off the event, the German ambassador to Canada, Sabine Sparwasser, will be giving an introductory speech discussing Canada’s special trade relations with Germany, and the future of the partnership together.
Sabine has been the ambassador since 2017 and has held multiple roles in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
On the main page, you can click on the ‘Contest’ link to enter our contest in which you will have to answer a couple of questions by visiting each partner’s booth and session for the clues. There will be a draw conducted from the submissions received for a chance to win 3 Visa cards worth $1,000, $500 and $250. Winners will be announced through email after the event.
The 2021 theme for the event is ‘The Future of Factory Automation: Safe, Secure & Connected.’
German Technology Day 2021 will take place on October 26th in-person (Toronto, English) AND online, and will take place again in-person on November 2nd (Montreal, French).
The event is targeted towards engineers, technicans, and supply chain professionals in industrial manufacturing, however will include industry trends and high level concepts suitable for managers and executives.

This event is both free online and in-person.
